Tommaso Del Lungo officially presented as Mantova defender

Defender Tommaso Del Lungo has been officially presented as a new player for Mantova. During his introduction, Del Lungo highlighted that coach Francesco Modesto played a significant role in his decision to join the club, noting that the manager specifically wanted him and the club made an effort to secure his arrival.

Del Lungo discussed his rapid integration into the squad, which included a debut in a Coppa Italia match against Palermo after only two days of training. While he described the immediate transition as challenging due to the need to quickly build rapport with new teammates, he praised the group for helping him settle into the locker room.

Regarding the upcoming Serie B season, Del Lungo emphasized the necessity of hard work to achieve results, acknowledging the long nature of the championship. He also revealed that he chose to wear the number 58 jersey as a tribute to his mother, who passed away last year.
