Tommy Amaker to coach Harvard at Duke's Cameron Indoor Stadium Dec. 4

Former Duke star Tommy Amaker, now head coach of Harvard men's basketball, will return to Durham, North Carolina, on Dec. 4 when his Harvard team visits the Blue Devils. Amaker, a 1983‑87 All‑American point guard under coach Mike Krzyzewski, averaged 8.5 points, 5.1 assists and 1.9 steals in his collegiate career.

Since taking over Harvard in 2007, Amaker has compiled a 321‑206 record, captured seven Ivy League regular‑season titles and led the team to four NCAA Tournament appearances. The game is part of the "Brotherhood Run" series that brings former Duke players back to Cameron Indoor Stadium as opposing coaches. Duke head coach Jon Scheyer praised Amaker’s impact on Duke basketball and welcomed the matchup.

Amaker previously coached at Seton Hall and Michigan and was inducted into the Duke Athletics Hall of Fame in 2001. This will be the 11th meeting between Harvard and Duke, the first since Nov. 30, 1991, with Duke having won all ten prior contests.
