Tommy Setford joins Stevenage on season-long loan from Arsenal
Arsenal goalkeeper Tommy Setford has joined League One side Stevenage on a season-long loan for the 2026/27 campaign. The move was finalized on transfer deadline day following the departure of Stevenage goalkeeper Filip Marschall to Millwall.
The 20-year-old Netherlands-born goalkeeper, who is eligible to represent England, joined Arsenal from Ajax in July 2024. While he has been part of Arsenal’s senior training squad and made brief appearances in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, the loan is intended to provide him with regular senior competitive minutes to aid his development.
Setford’s move to Stevenage follows stalled negotiations with Spanish second-tier side Las Palmas. At Arsenal, he joins a goalkeeping group that includes David Raya, Kepa Arrizabalaga, and Illan Meslier.
