Tomorrowland 2026 faces fireworks ban as festival expands to Thailand
Belgian organizers of Tomorrowland 2026 have been ordered to prohibit fireworks and other pyrotechnic effects for the first weekend (17‑19 July) because of an orange‑code weather warning and heightened forest‑fire risk. Festival spokespeople said they will substitute confetti, smoke and sparklers to maintain the visual spectacle.
A weather update from BBC predicts mild sunshine and temperatures in the low‑to‑mid‑20s Celsius for that weekend, with warmer, drier conditions expected for the second weekend (24‑26 July). Around 400,000 attendees are projected across both weekends.
The 2026 edition also unveils its full Consciencia line‑up, featuring Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix, David Guetta, The Chainsmokers, John Summit and many others, marking the debut of several new stages.
Separately, the festival’s first Asian edition, Tomorrowland Thailand, is slated for 11‑13 December 2026 at Wisdom Valley near Pattaya. The announced roster includes major acts such as Martin Garrix, Swedish House Mafia, Afrojack, Alan Walker, Steve Aoki and a host of Thai talent, with an expected daily audience of over 50,000.
