Tomás Berthet creates Linkup app for people with disabilities

Tomás Berthet, a 25-year-old man with spina bifida, has developed Linkup, a mobile application designed to help people with disabilities connect for friendships, dating, and social experiences.

Inspired by his own challenges in navigating social environments, Berthet created the tool to address barriers that go beyond physical accessibility. The app, available for free on iPhone and Android, allows users to specify particular needs, such as the use of sign language, the presence of service animals, or specific accessibility requirements for meetings. The platform currently has over 100 active profiles.
