Tomás Bessa and Tomás Melo Gouveia advance in Open de Portugal

Tomás Bessa and Tomás Melo Gouveia have qualified for the final two days of the 64th Open de Portugal at PGA Aroeira Lisboa in Almada. The tournament is the most significant golf event in Portugal, featuring a 300,000 euro prize pool and part of the HotelPlanner Tour.

Tomás Bessa, the 30-year-old former national champion, is currently the highest-ranked Portuguese player. Following the second round, he sits in the top 24 with a total of 134 strokes, 8 under par, after posting a second-round score of 63.

Tomás Melo Gouveia also successfully made the cut, moving to 39th place with an aggregate score of 136, 6 under par. Meanwhile, Pedro Figueiredo narrowly missed the cut, finishing in 76th place with a score of 139.
