Toms River man sentenced to three years for Atlantic City road rage threats

Frank Marin, a 29-year-old man from Toms River, has been sentenced to three years in New Jersey state prison following a road rage incident in Atlantic City. The sentencing was handed down by Superior Court Judge Christine Smith after Marin pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree terroristic threats.

The incident occurred on September 12, 2025, on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. According to authorities, the victim had stopped to allow an ambulance to cross an intersection when Marin, driving a white Nissan Altima, ran a red light and nearly collided with the victim's vehicle.

Following a confrontation in the street, the victim attempted to drive away, but Marin allegedly cut him off. Marin then reportedly threatened to kill the driver and his dog before retrieving a Taser from his vehicle and approaching the victim's car. The victim moved his vehicle forward, resulting in a collision with Marin's Nissan, after which Marin fled the scene.
