Tomás Zambrano urges cooperation with Honduras national census

Tomás Zambrano, President of the National Congress of Honduras, has urged citizens to cooperate with officials conducting the XVIII National Population and VII Housing Census. During a working visit to Santa Bárbara, Zambrano warned against rumors and false information intended to create fear and distrust regarding the census process.

Zambrano emphasized that the census is a vital tool for national development, providing essential data on employment, age, housing conditions, basic services, disability status, and indigenous populations. He noted that Honduras has not conducted a census in 13 years. He further clarified that the process is non-partisan and non-ideological, noting that it is supported by the United Nations and other international organizations.
