Tomás Zambrano visits El Progreso to support community initiatives

Tomás Zambrano, President of the National Congress, participated in several community events in El Progreso, Yoro, emphasizing national unity and legislative support for regional development.

During the 31st Rice Festival, Zambrano was named a Distinguished Visitor and received the Keys to the City of El Progreso. On behalf of the deputies of Yoro, the National Congress provided a contribution of 250,000 lempiras to support local community projects. Zambrano called for political unity, stating, “what unites us is working for Honduras.”

Additionally, Zambrano and local deputies attended the 25th anniversary of the Rotary Club of El Progreso. The National Congress donated 100,000 lempiras to the organization, with an additional 50,000 lempiras provided by Deputy Carlos Baquedano, totaling 150,000 lempiras. Local authorities noted that these funds would support social work and health initiatives, specifically benefiting individuals with diabetes.
