Ton That Tung Medical School ring busted for illegal certificate issuance

Authorities in Vietnam have dismantled a criminal ring operating out of the Ton That Tung Medical and Pharmaceutical Intermediate School. The organization was involved in illegal enrollment, training, and examination processes to issue unauthorized intermediate degrees and short-term medical certificates to thousands of students.

Following a joint operation between the Department of Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention and the Hanoi Police, seven suspects were arrested and prosecuted. Investigators seized eight computers, 17 mobile phones, and various other documents and evidence. Officials noted that the issuance of these fraudulent credentials poses a serious risk to patient health and safety.
