Tonami Yumenodaira Ski Resort opens cosmos flower viewing

The cosmos flower viewing season has commenced at the Tonami Yumenodaira Ski Resort in Tonami City, Toyama Prefecture. Approximately 1 million cosmos flowers across five different varieties, including pink and white, have been planted across a 2.4-hectare area.

Despite some damage caused by heavy rains last month, the flowers have reached about 80 percent bloom due to recent warm autumn weather. The blooms are expected to reach full capacity during the upcoming three-day weekend. The event is scheduled to run until October 18, featuring daily food truck services.
