Tonatico Mayor César Hernando Fuentes Domínguez dies in motorcycle accident

César Hernando Fuentes Domínguez, the municipal president of Tonatico in the State of Mexico, has died following a traffic accident. Preliminary reports indicate that the mayor was riding a motorcycle when he collided with a municipal security patrol unit.

Following the collision, Fuentes Domínguez was transported in serious condition to a hospital in Ixtapan de la Sal, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The mayor was a member of the Movimiento Ciudadano party and was serving his term for the 2025-2027 period.

Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez confirmed the death and expressed her condolences to the family and the people of Tonatico. Local authorities are expected to investigate the exact circumstances of the accident to determine responsibility.
