Tongyeong Youth Training Center launches island and sea experience programs

The Tongyeong Youth Training Center is operating a specialized experiential program titled ‘Walking Tongyeong’s Islands, Learning the Sea, and Remembering the Region.’ The initiative aims to provide local youth and families with opportunities to engage with the area's natural, historical, and cultural resources.

Recent participants from Tongyeong Girls' High School explored the islands of Yeondae-do, Manji-do, and Yongho-do via sea taxi. Activities included island trekking, ecological exploration, and ‘sound walking’ to experience the local marine environment.

The program will continue through December, with recruitment currently open for local youth and families. Additionally, the center is recruiting schools for its ‘School ON’ program, which brings activities such as carbon neutrality quizzes and mini-olympics directly to educational institutions.
