Toni and Felix Kroos mourn the passing of their grandfather

Former German footballer Toni Kroos and his brother Felix have announced the passing of their grandfather, Heinz Kroos. The news was shared during the latest episode of their podcast, ‘Einfach mal Luppen’, titled ‘In Memoriam’.

Felix Kroos noted that their grandfather passed away several weeks prior to the recording. Heinz Kroos was a significant figure in the podcast, as his voice was featured in the intro of every episode, where he would say the show’s namesake phrase.

Toni Kroos described the episode as the most difficult one they have recorded in the five to six years they have produced the show. The brothers decided to dedicate the episode to his memory as a way to process the loss and share the moment with their listeners.
