Toni Kroos to sponsor Gañafote Cup and pursue coaching career

Former German international footballer Toni Kroos has been announced as the godfather for the 2027 edition of the Gañafote Cup, a youth football tournament held in Huelva, Spain. Kroos expressed his enthusiasm for the role, noting that his academy will participate with four teams in the event scheduled for March 2027.

In addition to his involvement with the tournament, Kroos is exploring a transition into professional coaching. Having already obtained qualifications to assist teams up to the third tier, he intends to participate in professional training sessions for the 2027/28 season to pursue a UEFA A license. While maintaining ties with Real Madrid through his academy in Boadilla, Kroos is focused on a gradual entry into management rather than relying solely on his professional reputation.
