Toni Német transfers from Jadran Split to ENKA

Hungarian national water polo player Toni Német has announced his transfer from the Croatian club Jadran Split to the Turkish team ENKA. The two-season contract joins Német with fellow Hungarian player Márk Bányai in Istanbul.

Német, a six-time Hungarian champion and Eurocup silver medalist, stated that the move was made after consulting with various coaches and experts. He noted the continuous development of water polo in Turkey, particularly in youth categories. ENKA aims to reclaim the Turkish championship title, with Galatasaray identified as their primary rival.

In addition to domestic competition, ENKA will compete in the Eurocup, facing opponents such as Jug Dubrovnik, VK Sabac, and White Sharks Hannover in the qualifying stages. To maintain his standing with the national team, Német has coordinated with national team coach Zsolt Varga, who has provided a specialized training and conditioning program to ensure his professional goals remain on track despite the relocation.
