Tonino Di Venanzio National Photography Contest enters tenth edition

The tenth edition of the “Tonino Di Venanzio” National Photography Contest has officially launched. The competition commemorates ten years of celebrating photographic art and is named after the photographer and artisan Tonino Di Venanzio (1909–1982), who was known for his visual documentation of the Abruzzo region and his mastery of historical techniques, such as glass plate retouching.

The theme for this milestone edition is “Oltre” (Beyond), encouraging participants to explore new visual perspectives. The event is supported by the Abruzzo Region, the Municipality of San Valentino in Abruzzo Citeriore, and the Italian Federation of Photographic Associations (FIAF).

A special “Analog Shots” section has been introduced, featuring a dedicated jury to highlight photographers who continue to use film, manual development, and paper printing, honoring the traditional methods practiced by Di Venanzio.
