Tonka Tomicic initiates legal divorce proceedings from Parived

Chilean television presenter Tonka Tomicic has filed a lawsuit for cessation of coexistence in a second family court, marking a decisive step toward a formal divorce from her husband, Marco Antonio López Spagui, known as Parived.

Reports indicate that while the couple had been separated in practice since February 2023, attempts to reach a mutual agreement failed because Parived reportedly refused to sign the necessary documentation. This has forced Tomicic to pursue a unilateral divorce process, which is expected to take significantly longer.

The legal separation comes amid additional complications involving a bank lawsuit regarding an apartment in Vitacura held in Tomicic’s name. The property, which Parived reportedly refuses to vacate, is the subject of judicial action by a financial institution to recover the asset.

Public discussions regarding the couple's relationship have also highlighted allegations of excessive control exerted by Parived over Tomicic’s personal and professional decisions.
