Tonkachi launches Lisa Larson pop-up caravans in Kyushu and Kumamoto

Tonkachi Co., Ltd. is launching a series of pop-up store caravans across Japan featuring works by Swedish artist Lisa Larson and other creators.

In Kyushu, a Lisa Larson pop-up caravan will visit five Kinokuniya bookstore locations, starting in Nagasaki and moving through Saga, Oita, Kurume, and Miyazaki. The event will showcase a variety of items including ceramics, bags, plush toys, and stationery.

In Kumamoto, a separate pop-up caravan will visit three TSUTAYA and Tsutaya Books locations. This event features artists Lisa Larson, M. B. Gustafsson, and Marianne Halberg. Notably, 10% of sales from the ‘Kumamoto no Kuma’ ceramic pieces—specifically designed by Larson for the region—will be donated to support Kumamoto earthquake reconstruction efforts.
