Tonnara di Scopello activities suspended following court ruling

Activities at the Tonnara di Scopello have been suspended following a decision by the Court of Trapani. The court suspended a resolution that had authorized the lease agreement used by the managing company over the last six years.

As a result of this suspension, the Municipality of Castellammare del Golfo ordered the cessation of the SCIA (Certified Notification of Start of Activity), effectively halting operations. The company managing the complex stated that the decision stems from a legal dispute between private parties that is unrelated to their management. The conflict involves long-standing questions regarding the availability of the properties and the validity of the title under which the company operates.
