Tonoike Shuzoten to release limited edition ‘bo:’ sake

Tonoike Shuzoten, a brewery based in Mashiko, Tochigi Prefecture, has announced the September 17, 2026, release of a limited edition sake under its award-winning ‘bo:’ brand. The product, titled ‘bo: Kimoto Junmai Akita Sake Komachi Unfiltered Bottled Pasteurized,’ is a pure rice sake that has undergone summer aging.

The sake utilizes the traditional ‘kimoto’ brewing method, which relies on natural lactic acid rather than artificial additives. Brewed by master brewer Makoto Ono, the product features Akita Sake Komachi rice and maintains a consistent brand standard of being unfiltered with 16% alcohol content.

Tonoike Shuzoten, founded in 1937, has expanded its reach to 17 countries and continues to focus on regional revitalization and international exports of its highly decorated sake brands.
