Tony Adams sells Cotswolds mansion to Liam Gallagher for wife's studies

Former Arsenal and England captain Tony Adams sold his eight‑bedroom, £4 million estate near Cirencester in the Cotswolds after owning it since 2002. The property, set on five acres with a swimming pool, tennis courts, stables and a separate two‑bedroom cottage, was bought by Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher for around £4‑4.25 million. Gallagher moved in with his fiancée Debbie Gwyther and their dog.

Adams said the sale was driven by his wife, Poppy Teacher, who is returning to university to pursue a master's in early‑modern history. He told the Daily Mail, “This is a new era for us. We’ve sold the house and are returning to London. My wife is going back to school.” The couple are now renting in north London while searching for a new home.
