Tony Ferguson criticizes Misfits Boxing press conference chaos

Tony Ferguson criticized the conduct at a Misfits Boxing press conference in Miami ahead of his scheduled middleweight title defense against Mahmoud Sebie. During the event, Ferguson noted the contrast between the chaotic atmosphere—marked by shouting and near-confrontations—and his experience in the UFC.

Ferguson expressed concern regarding the influence of such behavior on younger viewers, stating that the actions of certain participants were inappropriate for children to witness. Despite the tension, Ferguson thanked Sebie for accepting the title fight on short notice. Sebie, traveling from Egypt, noted he had been in discussions with the promotion for months before accepting the opportunity four days prior to the event.

The upcoming card at the James L. Knight Center also features former two-division champion Henry Cejudo in his Misfits debut against Wanna Walton.
