Tony Ferguson defeats Mahmoud Sebie in Misfits Boxing

Former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson secured a TKO victory over Mahmoud Sebie during a recent Misfits Boxing event. This win brings Ferguson’s record under the Misfits banner to 3-0.

Following the match, Ferguson spoke about the emotional challenges he faced leading up to the fight, noting the recent loss of his mother in August. He described feeling a sense of her energy despite her physical absence and discussed the mental preparation required to remain calm and avoid being in a ‘dream state’ during the early rounds.

Ferguson noted that while he successfully capitalized on Sebie’s aggressive start, he intends to work on his performance in the opening round of future bouts. He also acknowledged a difficult second round where Sebie landed a shot that wobbled him, as cautioned by his coach.
