Tony Iommi announces new solo album ‘From The Dark’

Legendary guitarist Tony Iommi is set to release his first solo album in 21 years, titled ‘From The Dark’, on October 23, 2026. The release is supported by the first single, ‘World Alone’, which features Norwegian vocalist Jørn Lande and drummer Karl Brazil.

Bassist Becky Baldwin, known for her work with Mercyful Fate, contributed to the project after being scouted by producer Mike Exeter. Baldwin noted that she was invited to the studio after Exeter had been following her career and her metal bass covers.

To celebrate the launch, a series of global pre-listening events will be held on October 22 at various rock and metal venues in major cities, including London, Birmingham, New York, Berlin, Amsterdam, Tokyo, and São Paulo. These events will offer fans the chance to hear the album ahead of its official release and participate in merchandise giveaways.
