Tony Iommi announces new solo album ‘From The Dark’

Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi is releasing a new solo album titled ‘From The Dark’ on Friday, October 23, via BMG. This marks his first solo studio album in 21 years.

In a recent interview, Iommi explained that the project began as an instrumental album, but evolved into a full vocal record. He noted that the recording process was casual and pressure-free, as he utilized his own home studio to work on ideas at his own pace.

The album features eight tracks and includes collaborations with vocalist Jorn Lande, who contributed the lyrics, bassist Becky Baldwin, and drummer Karl Brazil. The record was co-produced by Iommi and his longtime creative partner, Mike Exeter. Iommi stated that the title ‘From The Dark’ was chosen to reflect the specific mood of the music.
