Tony Iommi confirms collaboration with William Shatner on metal project

Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has confirmed his participation in an upcoming heavy metal album by William Shatner. Performing under the band name The *uckers, the project features Iommi contributing riffs to tracks provided by the 95-year-old actor.

The metal ensemble includes a notable lineup of musicians, such as former Ozzy Osbourne bassist Phil Soussan, Britt Lightning of Vixen, and Marcus Nand. Other high-profile contributors to the project include Rob Halford, Brian May, and Dave Lombardo. Shatner has cited his previous battle with cancer as a motivation for this musical shift.

In a separate revelation, Iommi noted that he was approached to write the theme music for the film ‘Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom’ but declined due to a heavy workload involving his own solo album, ‘From The Dark’, and his work with Robbie Williams.
