Tony Iommi Announces Solo Album ‘From The Dark’ for Oct 23

Tony Iommi, the founding guitarist of Black Sabbath, announced his first solo album in more than two decades – ‘From The Dark’. The record is scheduled for worldwide release on 23 October 2026 via BMG. The launch is supported by the lead single “World Alone”, which premiered at a global streaming event in Iommi’s hometown of Birmingham, filmed near the Black Sabbath Bridge. The eight‑track album features Norwegian vocalist Jorn Lande, who co‑wrote every song, bassist Becky Baldwin, and drummer Karl Brazil. Iommi co‑produces the record with long‑time collaborator Mike Exeter. In a statement he said the band “had a great time making it” and “we’re not trying to prove anything – it’s a great album, it rocks!”. The release will be available in several formats, including standard CD, deluxe vinyl editions and a limited‑edition 7‑inch single of “World Alone”.
