Tony Khan expresses optimism for AEW following Skydance-Paramount merger

AEW President Tony Khan has expressed confidence in the future of All Elite Wrestling following the merger of Paramount and CBS under Skydance leadership. During a WrestleDream conference call, Khan noted that he has held several encouraging discussions with Skydance CEO David Ellison.

Khan stated that Ellison has been “very excited and positive about AEW” and expressed belief in the promotion's direction. While acknowledging that changes are expected under the new corporate structure, Khan believes the transition will strengthen the company.

He specifically highlighted the continued involvement of key leaders Channing Dungey and JB Perrette, both of whom have been supporters of AEW. Khan also noted that AEW's performance on HBO Max and its connection between television viewership and pay-per-view business remain central to the company's strategy within the new organization.
