All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan explained that the promotion featured 13 AEW World Championship matches on free television in 2026, spanning Dynamite, Collision and Grand Slam Australia. This exceeds the combined total of 11 title defenses that aired on free TV during 2024 and 2025.

Khan said the increase aims to give fans who cannot purchase every pay‑per‑view a premium wrestling product on weekly broadcasts. He emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering high‑level matches every week while still offering “worth‑it” pay‑per‑view events.

“[We] are delivering at the highest level and it’s great having these championship fights,” Khan told Chicago radio station Q101, adding that fans can “have the cake and eat it too” by watching top‑tier matches on free TV.
