Tony Khan Says AEW May Hold Major Weekend Event During WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia

AEW President Tony Khan told reporters after the Double or Nothing pay‑per‑view that a large AEW weekend in April could be viable, filling the gap while WWE's WrestleMania 43 is staged in Saudi Arabia. He described Double or Nothing as “one of the best nights in the history of the company.”

Khan outlined AEW's strategy for its MyAEW streaming service, emphasizing a focus on international growth while retaining a domestic component and indicating plans to eventually add other promotions. He recounted the failed attempt to launch Dynamite from Madison Square Garden, noting the venue’s initial interest then reversal. He also addressed New York State Athletic Commission limits on blood and crowd brawls, saying the show still “hit a home run.”

The president praised Darby Allin’s World Championship reign, highlighted the potential long‑term pairing of Mick Foley and Renee Paquette, and spoke about AEW’s partnership with Paramount and Skydance. He criticized Netflix's separation of TBS/TNT content from HBO Max, mentioned a possible Fight for the Fallen ALS benefit event, and said the use of CMLL’s micro‑wrestlers could be considered in the future.
