Tony Khan hints at AEW Hall of Fame as WWE schedules competing Chicago event

AEW President Tony Khan told the Battleground podcast that he is considering creating an AEW Hall of Fame and may revive the Ring of Honor Hall of Fame. He praised the inaugural ROH class and said wrestlers such as Athena have a strong case for induction. Khan also described WWE’s decision to hold a Worlds Collide show in Chicago on the same night as AEW’s All Out as “the reality of current wrestling” and “the frankly predatory nature of scheduling events,” while adding that the move serves as a compliment to AEW’s success and that he welcomes the competition.

Khan highlighted AEW’s growth, noting that viewership is at an all‑time high because the TBS broadcast now runs alongside a streaming simulcast on HBO Max. He also defended AEW’s large number of championships, saying the four‑hour weekly schedule justifies many title matches. Additionally, he praised the training of Sting’s son, Steven Borden Jr., calling his development “tremendous.”
