Tony Parker sets ambitious goals for ASVEL Villeurbanne

Tony Parker has expressed his ambitious vision for ASVEL Villeurbanne, aiming to elevate the French club to the prestige of EuroLeague giants such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Fenerbahçe. Despite a turbulent summer that saw the departure of key players including Sylvain Francisco, Daniel Tarculescu, and Nick Weisele, Parker remains committed to his role as both president and technical leader.

Parker stated that his motivation is to achieve a coaching career as successful as his playing career. He emphasized the need for the club to remain competitive in both the EuroLeague and the French league, noting the importance of winning trophies since the team's last success in 2023.

To assist in this transition, Parker is working alongside Vincent Collet, the former coach of the French national team. Parker noted that he is learning from Collet daily and is focused on developing his own coaching identity and style over the coming years.
