Tony Stewart Racing announces driver change for 2027 season
Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) has announced a significant driver change for the 2027 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season. Leah Pruett will step away from full-time competition in the TSR Top Fuel Dragster to focus on her family and her son, Dom. While Pruett clarified that this is not a retirement and she intends to remain involved with the team, she will no longer compete full-time.
To fill the vacancy, TSR has signed eight-time NHRA Top Fuel champion Tony Schumacher to a multi-year agreement. Schumacher, an 88-time winner in the NHRA, will join the organization to drive the Top Fuel Dragster. He will compete alongside four-time Funny Car world champion Matt Hagan.
