Tonya road conditions spark political criticism following water works

The Büyük Birlik Partisi (BBP) has raised concerns regarding the state of roads in the Büyük Mahalle neighborhood of Tonya, Trabzon. Emre Yılmaz, the BBP Tonya District President, stated that main and secondary roads excavated during drinking water network works have not been restored to their original condition.

Yılmaz argued that the current state of the roads causes grievances for citizens in terms of both transportation and safety. He called upon TİSKİ and the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality to provide a timeline for the repairs, emphasizing that completing infrastructure work properly and ensuring road safety is a critical responsibility.

The drinking water project in Büyük Mahalle is being managed by TİSKİ, the General Directorate of the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality. The project involves a 15.3 million TL investment aimed at renewing approximately 25 kilometers of drinking water lines to increase the region's water transmission capacity.
