Top 14 clubs face rising injury concerns and roster rotations

French Top 14 clubs are facing significant roster challenges due to rising injury numbers. Stade Rochelais is heading into their match against Toulon with ten players sidelined, including Nolann Le Garrec, Sam Tuifua, and Will Skelton. To manage the shortage, the club is integrating young talent, such as 18-year-old scrum-half Valentin Bouju, and rotating their squad to preserve player freshness.

Similarly, ASM Clermont is struggling with an expanding injury list. The squad has been weakened by the absence of Tevita Ratuva, Pio Muarua, Cristian Ojovan, and Selevasio Tolofua. While some players like Pita-Gus Sowakula are beginning rehabilitation, the club continues to face depth issues early in the season.

In contrast, Stade Toulousain has received a boost with the return of Jack Willis. After recovering from a knee injury sustained over the summer, the English flanker has returned to collective training and is expected to be available for the upcoming match against Bordeaux-Bègles.
