Top Chef VIP 5 faces medical emergencies and participant departures

The fifth season of the reality cooking competition ‘Top Chef VIP 5’ has faced several medical emergencies and participant departures. Sheynnis Palacios, Miss Universe 2023, officially withdrew from the competition after experiencing intense chest numbness, dizziness, and arm pain, which required ambulance transport from the studio.

Athenea Pérez was also eliminated from the competition following a loss in the elimination challenge. Meanwhile, singer Ninel Conde suffered burns to both hands while attempting to handle a cast-iron skillet with a cloth instead of a protective mitt. Despite the injury, Conde continued cooking while undergoing medical recovery.

Other notable moments included Nailea Norvind expressing emotional distress after being tasked with cooking guinea pig, a challenge that sparked debate among viewers regarding the show's presentation of proteins.
