Top cross-country skiers Katharina Hennig Dotzler and Frida Karlsson eye final season at Falun World Championships

German Olympic gold‑medalist Katharina Hennig Dotzler, 30, announced that the upcoming 2023‑24 season will be her last on the World Cup circuit. After eleven years and multiple World Championship medals, she plans a family training camp in Tenerife before targeting the World Championships in Falun, Sweden, in February.

Swedish world‑cup star Frida Karlsson, 26, confirmed an extended partnership with ski manufacturer Fischer as she prepares for the same Falun championships. The agreement may coincide with what could become her final elite season, though she has not ruled out continuing.
