T.O.P fan site CHOIDOT closes after 20 years of support

The long-running fan site CHOIDOT, which has supported BIGBANG member and actor T.O.P (Choi Seung-hyun) since 2006, has announced its closure after 20 years of operation.

In its announcement, the site criticized both T.O.P and his management agency, Topspot Pictures, for what it described as an attitude of avoiding responsibility and taking fan dedication for granted. The administrators stated that the decision was not caused by T.O.P’s recent relationship with actress Nana, but rather by the agency’s failure to provide official communication channels and its reliance on the voluntary labor and expenses of fan sites. They noted that the agency has treated fan support as something to be used when convenient and ignored when inconvenient.

Following the closure of the site, Topspot Pictures issued an apology via social media. The agency expressed regret for failing to provide sufficient information regarding T.O.P’s activities and for the lack of necessary interaction with fans, promising to listen more closely to feedback to improve artist management in the future.
