TopBrands and Veste S/A announce major retail expansion plans

TopBrands is transitioning from a B2B sourcing and distribution model to physical retail. The company plans to open 25 stores over the next two years with an investment exceeding 5 million euros. The new multi-category stores will offer food and non-food items, including home decor, DIY, kitchenware, and technology. The pilot store is scheduled to open in Baixa da Banheira, Moita, with a first-year sales target of 2.5 million euros.

In Brazil, fashion group Veste S/A is implementing a franchising strategy to accelerate the expansion of its brands. The company will introduce John John to the franchising model for the first time, aiming for 30 franchised units by 2028. Additionally, Veste S/A plans to expand the Dudalina franchise network from 22 to 30 units by 2026, reaching 40 by the end of 2027. To support this growth, the group has partnered with Retail Mind Group to identify large-scale investors and multi-franchisees in the North, Northeast, and Central-West regions.
