TOPCon solar modules deliver higher output and debut 515W product for Australian rooftops

Independent field tests conducted by State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) at the Daqing National Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Demonstration Platform in China show that TOPCon solar modules produce more energy than competing technologies. Over four years, TOPCon generated 2.86% more annual electricity than PERC, 5.24% more than HJT and 0.75% more than back‑contact (BC) modules, thanks to reduced leakage and better heat dissipation. The results, published in June 2026, highlight the real‑world advantage of TOPCon designs such as JinkoSolar’s Tiger Neo 3.0.

Separately, Trina Solar has started mass production of its 515‑watt Vertex S+ G3 module for the Australian rooftop market. The panel uses n‑type i‑TOPCon Ultra cell technology, achieving 24.7% efficiency, a low temperature coefficient of –0.26%/°C, and a dual‑glass construction rated for high wind and snow loads. Backed by a 25‑year product warranty and a 30‑year power warranty, the module is positioned to maximise energy generation on dense, complex Australian roofs. Trina Solar cites the launch as part of a strategy to shift toward high‑value markets amid a sector‑wide financial slowdown.
