Tope Osoba laid to rest in Ogun State

Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba was laid to rest on September 10, 2026, in Iperu Remo, Ogun State. The burial service was held at the Akesan Club following a funeral procession from the mortuary.

Osoba, who was 40 years old, passed away on August 4, 2026. While online speculation suggested breast cancer was the cause of death, her family and colleagues have clarified that she had previously undergone surgery for the condition and had announced her recovery. Family members stated she had been facing emotional distress and other health challenges prior to her passing.

Following her death, various controversies emerged. Her fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, alleged that the actress died at a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos State, and dismissed claims regarding poisoning or maltreatment. An autopsy has reportedly been concluded.
