Topeka offers up to $15,000 relocation incentives for professionals
The city of Topeka, Kansas, has launched an economic initiative called ‘Choose Topeka’ to attract skilled professionals to the Shawnee County area. Through strategic partnerships with more than 50 participating companies, the program provides financial incentives to workers who relocate to the region for employment.
The amount of assistance depends on the individual's housing choice: applicants who choose to rent a residential property can receive up to $10,000, while those who purchase a new home or undertake property renovations can receive up to $15,000.
These funds are not automatic government subsidies but are instead part of a shared agreement with hiring employers, typically used to fill specialized or hard-to-fill positions. To qualify, candidates must secure a full-time job offer from a participating company and meet specific residency and housing contract requirements within the county.
