Topusko spa modernization funded with €43.6 million EU and national aid

The historic Lječilište Topusko in Croatia is undergoing a comprehensive renovation financed by a €43.6 million investment, part of which comes from EU recovery funds and national public money. The project, covering more than 40,000 m², will rebuild the Toplica hotel, double accommodation capacity to 302 beds, and add modern wellness, sports and conference facilities built for high energy sustainability.

When completed later this year, the spa will feature five thermal pools, sports fields and an upgraded restaurant, bringing the total bed count to 475, of which 71 are available through the public health system. The upgrade aims to restore Topusko’s historic reputation as a premier health‑tourism destination dating back to the Austro‑Hungarian era.
