Toral de Merayo closes bathing area due to low river flow
Toral de Merayo has been forced to close its river bathing area due to a significant reduction in the water flow of the Oza River. Local authorities have also implemented water restrictions and scheduled cuts to manage supply levels in the town's reservoirs, particularly during peak consumption hours and local festivities.
The community has faced ongoing supply issues for approximately 20 days, characterized by low pressure and service interruptions. While recent infrastructure repairs were funded by the Junta de Castilla y León following winter damage, the local council reports that these measures have not yet resolved the recurring supply problems.
