Toranomon Advertising Festival announces lineup and Cannes Lions collaborations
The Toranomon Advertising Festival has released its session timetable and content lineup for its upcoming nine-day event running from October 9 to 17. The festival features approximately 120 content pieces and a diverse roster of speakers, including developer Tomu Kawada, announcer Yumiko Udo, and Maximum the Ryo-kun.
Key programming includes collaborations with major international creative institutions such as Cannes Lions, The One Club for Creativity, D&AD, and ACC. Highlights include a special session regarding the Young Lions competition brief announcement, an ‘AI Creative Challenge’ in partnership with Google, and sessions discussing brand transformation. The event also offers experiential exhibits, such as the ‘A, Kono Kotoba, Ki ni Naru Ten 2’ and a new photo booth concept called ‘Kokoku Puri.’
In a related development within the global creative circuit, Japanese representatives from TBWAbackslashHAKUHODO secured a bronze award in the media category at the Young Lions competition held during the Cannes Lions festival. The winning team addressed a brief focused on increasing awareness and solving the issue of inaccurate patient counts for progressive breast cancer, a data gap that affects the distribution of medical research funds and welfare support.
