Torbalı State Hospital implements advanced arthroscopy system
Torbalı State Hospital has implemented a new generation high-resolution arthroscopy system for closed joint surgery. This advanced technology allows surgeons to perform operations on the knee, shoulder, and ankle through microscopic incisions of only 4-5 millimeters, rather than using large open cuts.
The system provides high magnification and depth clarity, enabling doctors to focus directly on damaged tissues such as meniscus tears, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries, cartilage damage, and shoulder joint problems. This precision reduces the risk of damage to surrounding tissues.
Chief Physician Nagehan Bilir stated that the hospital's vision is to provide qualified health services locally so residents do not have to travel to large cities. Dr. Özgür Binbaş noted that this tissue-respecting method significantly shortens patient recovery times and allows for earlier physical therapy and joint movement.
