Community charity runs and sporting events support global health and social causes

Various communities across Latin America and Europe are organizing sporting events to support social and health causes. These initiatives include charity runs, walks, and solidarity campaigns aimed at raising funds and awareness for critical issues.

Health-focused events include the Carrera por la Vida 2.0 in Samacá to promote mental health and suicide prevention, the “Pongamos Fin a la Polio” race in Villahermosa to fight polio, and the Avon Carrera por Ellas in Peru to promote early breast cancer detection. In Alicante, Spain, 23 solidarity marches are being held to support breast cancer patients.

Social welfare and food security are also central themes. The Hambre Cero 2026 race in Aguascalientes aims to provide food to vulnerable families, while the Cursa Solidària País del Cava in Spain supports local food banks. In Cuenca, Spain, the Carrera por la Infancia raises funds for vulnerable minors.

Other community activities include the Spain Classic Raid, a vintage car rally, and various local solidarity events such as the “Sanando Juntos” wellness day in Tulancingo and the “Hamburguesada con Causa” by the Red Cross in Saltillo.
