Tordesillas reports significant rise in business activity and lower unemployment

Tordesillas has reported a significant increase in business activity and a reduction in unemployment for August. According to data from the Servicio Público de Empleo Estatal, the number of unemployed individuals in the municipality fell to 360, representing an 8.19% unemployment rate. This constitutes a 9.55% decrease compared to the same period in the previous year, contrasting with a 0.15% increase in Castilla y León and a 2.91% decrease nationally.

During August, the municipality recorded 250 new employment contracts, primarily within the construction, agriculture, and services sectors. Local authorities noted that while activity is rising, there is a growing demand for qualified technical profiles that the local market currently struggles to meet, necessitating the recruitment of workers from other municipalities.
