Torino coach Ignazio Abate leads first open training as 2,000 fans protest owner Urbano Cairo

Torino held its first open training at the Filadelfia stadium, drawing around 2,000 supporters. New head coach Ignazio Abate, together with sporting director Gianluca Petrachi, received applause from fans for his energetic approach and for players such as Duvan Zapata and veteran goalkeeper Paleari.

Despite the positive atmosphere, the club’s ultras unfurled a large banner reading “vendi buffone” aimed at owner Urbano Cairo, signalling ongoing tension between supporters and management as the team prepares for upcoming matches.
